Please read and review the following before booking an appointment:
At Nurturing Neurodiversity, I offer an integrative, complementary (outside of mainstream mental health), trauma-informed therapeutic experience grounded in my training as an Arts Therapist, Psychosocial Therapist, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) practitioner, and Autism specialist.
- I do not require my clients to have a diagnosis. I often work with people who identify as Neurodivergent and have not had this confirmed via a diagnosis. You are welcome with or without a diagnosis.
- The therapeutic counselling I offer Neurodivergent couples integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Non-Violent Communication. The focus of the therapy is to explore communication styles and to learn helpful ways of communicating to meet (Neurodivergent) needs in a relationship.
- It is not possible to work directly with clients located in the USA. This is due to limitations in professional indemnity insurance.
- New clients: Please use this link to book a 30-minute free initial consultation call.
Clients seeking in-person therapy may be contacted sooner due to higher availability of in-person appointments.
Start, Frequency, and End of Therapy:
At the beginning of our work together, we will take time to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll provide space for you to share what you are seeking from therapy, and together we will regularly review our progress to ensure we remain aligned with your goals.
Most clients choose to meet with me weekly or every other week, though some prefer less frequent sessions depending on their needs and budget. It’s important to note that lower session frequency may mean it takes longer to build the therapeutic relationship and momentum toward your goals.
Many clients continue therapy with me for several years, while others find that a few months provide the support and insight they need to move forward meaningfully. If you have a limited budget, we can discuss and agree on a set number of sessions in advance so that expectations are clear. Should you find the therapy helpful and wish to continue, you are always welcome to do so—either with ongoing sessions or occasional check-ins as needed.
