Neurodiversity-affirming therapy, training and consultation

Neuro-affirming Therapist & Trainer | Creating Neuro-Affirming Spaces Where Being Divergent is Beautiful | Helping Neurodivergent People feel truly seen & heard.

At Nurturing Neurodiversity, I offer an integrative, complementary (out of mainstream mental health), trauma-informed therapeutic experience grounded in my training as an Arts Therapist, Psychosocial Therapist, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and Autism specialist.

Neurodiversity is an important part of human diversity. Those who identify as neurodivergent achieve and feel well when they are respected for their unique ways of thinking. Those who identify as neurodivergent may have one or more of the following diagnoses or a range of other neurodiverse conditions that may not be included here.

DCD/Dyspraxia Dyscalculia Dyslexia ADHD Autism Tourette Syndrome High IQ

Although people who identify as neurodivergent have strengths, there is evidence that they are at a greater risk of mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression and trauma. Finding a professional who has experience and understanding of neurodiversity can be an important step to getting the right help.

Neurodivergent thinkers will often struggle with advice that requires them to be shaped by neurotypical norms. To be neurodiversity-affirming means that you embrace and acknowledge the variations in learning and development, and you do not subscribe to dominant deficit narratives.

I currently have a waiting list. If you would like to be added to the waiting list please make a booking for an initial consultation. After the consultation if decide you want to be a client of mine you can be added to my caseload and will have access to all available services.

Clients seeking in-person therapy may be contacted sooner due to higher availability of in-person appointments.
